Best of the Beasts: A best of 7 series

Posted by Unknown on 23:40
What a Game that was! first and foremost i would like to label myself as a Miami Heat fan but i am no Hater of the San Antonio Spurs, i have been a Heat fan for quite a while, even before the Big-three was made, but enough of that.

Now, that was a nail-biter, heart pounding moment for both the Spurs and Heat fans since no team has won back-to-back games, every time a team wins the other would claw its way back to victory and most of the time winning by a big margin. They played like everything was at stake, as one of the players said, i quote " We will play and leave nothing left on our tanks" tanks meaning stored energy or something, and with that they made a wonderful Game 7 series, both teams have a very high mutual respect for one another, even the coach and players. For me it was a win-win situation, even though the Spurs lost they made a public statement that even if their against the defending champions they made those champs bleed and sweat, making it harder for them to clinch a Game 7 win and grabbing their back-to-back championship. To all the NBA fans out there, let's get ready for another round of the opening season!

Again and Again

Posted by Unknown on 23:18
I forgot the last time i said that i would be focusing on my blog.. (been a very long time) , since every time i could get a free time i would mostly use it for watching movies or sleeping since i don't have school anymore, but now i really feel bored at home, its like my energy tank for a whole day is used only at 20% out of a hundred, makes it hard to sleep at night since i didn't do any strenuous activities, *sigh*anyway i will try AGAIN to resurrect my blog from the depths of Tartarus (<-- sorry for that word, been reading a lot of fictional books lately) .. so this is step 1, hope i could make a lot more interesting post for you guys. Stay tuned then.

Election elsewhere

Posted by Unknown on 23:58

The power is in the tip of your pen as they say;  but I didn't feel such power during this elections. Because I was out of town ( I can’t remember if I checked whether I can vote while in another country), we missed the elections but we were checking the internet for the vote counting, and sad to say that our main candidate lost, well you really can’t predict the outcome of the elections, especially when there are lot of things going on.. if you know what I mean.. But, what’s surprising is that most of the political King-pins in our country lost, hmmm.. I wonder, if it’s not made by vote buying or something like that, then maybe God really has a plan brewing... I can’t congratulate the winners of this election one by one so I’ll just use the media hehe, but I hope that whatever promises that these political leaders made to the people they would honor it, and strive to be a better leader than the ones before them. They would not just make projects that would ensure them a spot for the next elections, but make projects that would ensure the prosperity and the future of our next generation!

Somethings are better of the Old fashion way

Posted by Unknown on 23:48

I saw a letter that was made for me a couple of years back, and it had me thinking (no, not that reminisce the past thinking) which is better? The old fashioned mail where you write on a piece of paper and send it with all the perfumes that you can find, or those stationery’s that are scented to that special someone, or the fast and hassle free way of writing which is just like this.. Writing on the internet or using the Microsoft word, where if you make a mistake you can just delete it unlike the old fashioned one where a simple wrong spelling would make you do it all over again? So which is which?

I don’t know about you guys but for me I’d still go with the classics on with the stationery’s and the perfumes, because first of all effort really does count. I mean it may take like forever to make, especially if you have a very bad hand-writing such as myself, but it’s different when you read it in a actual letter and knowing that every word was carefully written (forgive me for creeping you out) than that over the Internet mail right? It holds more value than the regular email; I guess that settles it then. I better put this letter back before I remember the distant past.. (Cheese ball)

#note:
Call me an old-fashion kind of guy. :)

Hurray for taste buds

Posted by Unknown on 23:32

Before we went to Singapore I frequently asked myself what kind of food I would eat there. I was hoping to find and dine with the familiar foods like, McDonald's, KFC , Jollibee and etc. but much to my surprise the group wanted to try cuisines Singaporean style, and I thought “ oh boy we’re in trouble “ but then as I tried the cuisines they were brilliant, the flavoring was awesome, the way they cooked it, especially the smell.. it captivates my appetite, totally changed my perspective on Singaporean cuisine, I thought that I would never like it cause I got used to Filipino food but then again I was wrong, hehe.. so here’s a picture of me in one the Singapore’s food republic, oh boy I would like to go there again, I still haven’t tried a hundred different food selections. It looks small from the outside but when you go inside it’s so huge, and there’s like a number of different stores (small ones though) selling different food .. (I'm getting hungry now) well,  I would like to type more about food but I think I need food right now, I mean right now! So gotta say bye for now, bon appetite!

Love and my Lil'bro ..

Posted by Unknown on 00:36

I think it was love at first sight for my little brother (poor soul) , you see we were in a mall at Singapore called Bugis, we came across this little cute shop called Cupid hut, ( you can search it on face book if you want to see ) this shop sells couple shirts and clothes, like couple polo’s, couple long sleeves, accessories and the such, but what my brother saw was the girl who was manning the store, a cute and pretty Singaporean girl, he even asked me to take a picture of her, (tsss!) some of us were looking at her merchandise but my little brother was too overwhelmed, so by the time we went to another store, he couldn’t resist it and went back to take a picture with the girl of his dreams, which he didn’t get the name (boohoo! and no Love is not her name, you might mistake it from the title) and Yes! The girl agreed, all throughout the day my brother was holding on to the camera that he used, afraid that one of us would delete there picture, haha.. lil’bro’s nowadays..

too bad its a bit blurry dude, blame the one who took the pic..
(which is not me :3 )

look good together ?

i better post this before he finds out, so chill out guys!

Bag's packed and ready to go!

Posted by Unknown on 00:19

Now to start off with our 8 day trip, let me just say that I will be brief because it would take forever if I mention the whole trip. Arrival at Singapore Changi airport at around 1:00am in May 10, 2013. Slept for a few hours, and then started strolling at Singapore. First stop was the Universal Studios Singapore, the place was awesome, and it feels like they made a different world inside. All the buildings, decorations, even the pavements looked awesome, not to mention the rides I mean they were breath taking.. Literally. All of us loved Singapore, I mean it’s a wonderful city, advanced, clean, ordered,  it’s a place where you would want to live, they’re transportation is good, like taxi’s (there taxi’s are like, Chevrolet, Mercedes Benz and all),buses,  trains or MRT and our favorite the Healthy transportation, you ask why it’s called Healthy transportation? Because it’s good for the health like duh?!, the muscles, the figure, and all. because we walked!! Endlessly I might add!! Lol .. We wanted to experience walking on the streets of Singapore lol. Uhhh! Looks like I failed to mention that it was a two country vacation? We also went to Malaysia by the way, where we took a bus from Singapore to Malaysia that traveled for six whole hours, hehe.. anyway, when we got off our bus from Singapore, Genting Malaysia greeted us with a temperature of 17 degrees Celsius , burr! Note, that I was wearing a jogging jersey, shorts and slippers. We stayed Genting’s first world hotel, that had around 6,000 rooms plus. It was huge, and freezing. Good thing they had Starbucks, anyway after checking in we went to their amusement park and bought a “ Ride-All-You-Can “ ticket, the boys didn't waste any time and immediately went to the Go-kart racing, which I was the fastest haha .. I have bragging rights since it’s my blog, deal with it. Lol, now I don’t want to stall you any further because it may sound boring if I just mention all the things that we did, I will allow you my readers to go and read some more of my new blogs, I will discuss more of the things that happened in our trip in detail, so this is just like a teaser, lol .. Hope you will check them all out, till here for now, gotta bounce, peace out! (pictures below) sorry didn't have many pictures in Malaysia, too bad.

Family matters

Posted by Unknown on 05:33

Almost every year during the holy-week, our church goes on a family camp, where almost all members of our church spend our holiday together with everyone. Why is it called FAMILY camp? Well, basically it’s a time for your family, and during the camp different families are group together in a specific tribe and that tribe becomes there new family. We have different kinds of activities to strengthen the bond and relationship of everyone and to restore broken one's as well. We enjoy the company of each and every one. We start our day normally with devotions by tribe, then sessions, and breaks or free time. Then, one of the most awaited part, the Sports Block; basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton and different other sports, but the highlight surely would be the basketball, like every game is a championship game. (Our team won the championship by the way) , but apart from the sports block, there is also one activity where only the brave, courageous and not feint hearted look forward to. (Also the energetic and adventurous bunch) the super duper Amazing race (i know, super-duper sounds dorky) everyone needs to do their share, different tasks are given and different level of difficulties.. But! Apart from those two main activities, there was a new one added just this year, Lantern Flying, it’s an amazing event, families light up their lanterns altogether and sends them off together..

This yearly event is one of our most awaited event, all of us look forward to it, the only negative part is that its only 3 days and 2 nights, we are hoping that next year would be 5 days and 4 nights.. Well, that's it for now, till next time..

4 pics 1 word

Posted by Unknown on 07:56

Now now, i know its a famous app. I mean thousands have downloaded it, and me posting it this late doesn't mean that i just discovered this app, i mean seriously (defensive mode). Now, this app made a fuss in our school almost all people with high tech phones( including tabs and pads) have this. Now for you people who don't have any clue about this well that's a shame, kidding.. anyway its a guessing game application thing???(what?!) Well as its name states, the game will provide you with four pictures that are different but somewhat the same or connected (following me so far?) By this pictures you will have to guess the hidden word, its simple at times, difficult mostly of it. And some words really dries up your brain, but the part that i hate the most is when the word is so simple yet i don't get it (or try to over think it) and when i use the hint.. asdfgghhk!! Its unbelievably simple!! And i wasted my coins on that.. so whew.. enough of that.. information overload.. :) now if any of you plays this game and can't answer it,post in here (if thats possible). Or you can look at the net for faster answers.. ^_^ ciao!

wanna have fun? give it a go.. here are some examples..

these are just small fry i know, but hey its worth a shot. :D

PolarDog? What?

Posted by Unknown on 03:33
Now i love animals, especially dogs. In fact i have three right now, they used to be four but our little pit-bull pup died because of severe dehydration, poor chief. I have a male Labrador crossed breed with a dalmatian, a pure breed female Labrador named Hachi. and our little pup Maya. I always have this fascination of dogs, even if they're stray i would like to pet them even though they may tend to bite me.. tsk2.. anyway, where's the bear right? i mean i did mention a bear in the title (well polar really but you get the point), well i was browsing for images earlier and found this..

Now i don't know if this is true or is it even biologically possible, but c'mon! something that cute i couldn't resist that, eheh.. i sure hope that its true though.. i would love to have one, i'd call it PolarDog .. hehe.. see you next time guys.

Too Lazy to be Lazy

Posted by Unknown on 18:48

Been quite a while since my last post (sigh), quite a week the last 2 weeks were, finishing projects, studying for final exams all those crazy things.. I told myself "you need to sit down and make a post" but that never happened hehe.. But fortunately i am now able to write/post again, since all i do right now is waiting for the time to pass, so why not make something productive out of it right? now, my first interest when i woke up this morning was the Miami Heat's win over the Indiana Pacers (hurrah! for heat fans),making their 18th straight win memorable because Indiana was the team whom they lost to before the 18 winning streak, hurrray again! Now, 2nd on my to do list, i am gonna watch supernatural season 8 episode 12-16 yehey! i just finished downloading it lol.. (is downloading still illegal? @_@ yikes!) Been watching this series since Season 1, so yeah quite of a fan. Next, been thinking about being fit, so messaged my friends and scheduled a jogging bonding?? Tomorrow Tuesday, haha.. Would be nice to lose them extra weight hehe.. neeeext! Been thinking about updating my layout?? A friend of mine keeps reminding me how boring and what an eyesore my layout is. LOL! Well she does have a point since her page is cool, I'm gonna try to study this layout thing.. haaay! BUT! Since my day has just started and i also inserted in my to-do-list to have a movie marathon i would really appreciate it if you guys could share some amazing movies that you can recommend. :))

Thanks for reading.. :)

War in Cagayan de Oro city?

Posted by Unknown on 07:31

Now the title maybe a little overboard or too much, but hey that's what the media calls it, by media i mean the internet folks, Facebook fanatics and such. Couldn't blame them, for 2 days now all i have heard were bad reports, yesterday we heard a report, a student from my class was shot near Nazareth and also near our school while he was being robbed by 2 men, the other was driving the motorcycle, the vehicle for escape, and the other man doing the heinous act. And just a couple of hours ago i heard that another one from my school was shot again in Nazareth, oh the violence! Many residents in that area right now won’t be able to sleep comfortably and peacefully, it disturbs the whole place when something like that happens because it’s just a small neighborhood, too bad. And as if the reports couldn't get much worse, In Bukidnon, Camp Philips was attacked by the rebels known as the NPA or New People's Army, I heard from a source that they burned warehouses and trucks, and also properties of Delmonte has been damaged due to the attack. What is happening? I asked myself, our city before was a peaceful place, now this? I just hope and pray that all this would pass quietly and quickly to avoid more damage, and hopefully no more casualties.

Under pressure!!

Posted by Unknown on 17:36
Finally its caught me, the pressure of being a graduating student. All the requirements are eager to greet me with warm hugs and kisses, not literally ofcourse but its here nonetheless. Got lots of requirements for my major subjects and my minor subjects who feels like they're major subjects.. Seriously dude stop flattering yourself! Im referring to my minor subjects, sorry for that. I wouldn't say that to my beloved readers ofcourse (if there are. Hoping) i mean seriously, this mid-term grade of mine on one of my minor subjects gave me a C grade, can u believe that?! And my majors are like B-,B,A,A- it ruins the view seriously!! I can blabber about this all day but i wont allow it to happen, got side tracked sorry, now back to the topic. Pressure!! Sigh.. I am really feeling it right now, but im optimistic, its because i know that if i am feeling this pressure right now meaning i am already getting there, the final goal of my academic life, to graduate i can feel it in my skin, i can almost taste it (not literally duh?!) the sweetness of walking on that red carpet as my name is being called, finally its worth all the stress.. As we will hear the words " I now announce you Graduates! " and then the real fun will begin. So sorry for being a day dreamer, but as they say if you dream, then dream big!

A painful reminder

Posted by Unknown on 05:50

I know it sounds too dramatic, but it’s a journey that i must take. (Drama), since August 20, 2011 i was injured during a basketball game, a grave injury if i may. It was during the game that i twisted my knee (oww!), i have twisted my ankles a couple of times but the pain when you twist your knee is far more excruciating, like 5x greater and no i am not exaggerating. Seriously now. I was having a very ,very hard time to walk, i needed crutches for 2weeks and knee support thingy, and still cant walk without the feeling of my knees twisting apart. Now im stuck with this injury for almost 2 years, i haven't played basketball since then. No more exercise thus i gained weight.. (tadaaa!) Bad thing. But right now i can walk properly, but not run as fast enough as i did before, because im still scared, every time i run i feel like my knee would eventually re injure itself. Fear is always a driving factor. And don't get me started with basketball. A month after my injury i thought it was not that serious so i tried playing just slowly, but when i tried to drive the ball into the paint it happened.. That feeling of pain shooting up from my knee and i eventually sat on the floor and rolled.. Yes i rolled. THE PAAAIIINN! After that i never played again. And the bitter part? I still haven't got it checked by a doctor or bone specialist, but for me if i want to play again i think i should shape up again, got some extra baggage here and there, in order for my knee to support my upper body and not get it injured i should get those extra baggage’s out! So.. diet?jogging?exercise? Any suggestions?

Suddenly out of time

Posted by Unknown on 03:48

Time is Gold, so why don't you sell it? naah seriously. I have noticed this a couple of weeks back and wanted to make a post out of it but it seems i don't have time..get it? Don’t have time? Related to the, gaah never mind Anyway, as they say time flies when you’re having fun, i beg to disagree time flies period. I just seem to notice that i don't quite get the time that i really need to do the things that i used to.. poor time management? I don't think so, i have always been good at that, but right now i think it’s all just racing down so fast, i blame the requirements and classes (no offense to my teachers..hehe) , extracurricular things, and personal things.. i usually sleep late, very late. Wake up early, go to school attend classes, make requirements, practices, yada yada yada. I hope you get my point because i could go on and on about that stuff for hours and literally bore you to death, now we don't want that do we? Carry on. I simply want to appreciate life like i use to. Just stop and listen to the birds chirping, smell the plants and flowers, pat a stray dog, look at the sky and the sun.. (I’m being serious and sarcastic at the same time) all those things. Second convict would be the technology, especially internet (i know, I’m using it right now i get it, ironic huh?) , mobile phones, we use to go home change clothes and STUDY (^__^) , go to bed early. But right now, some of us can't go to sleep without checking their accounts on Facebook, twitter, etc. I mean, yeah those sites help us a lot but it kind of deprives us of the time for rest, not to mention our social skills, yes i know it’s a social media. But you get the point. Mobile phones, texting and calling at 2am,i mean what gives? (No punt intended to Facebook and the mobile phone users).. I mean, we should use/invest our times to do the things that would matter, like bonding with friends, talking to your family, because we never know what the future holds, maybe just maybe, when you want to do those things that really matter, you'll find yourself suddenly out of time.

Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, but Today is a gift that's why it’s called PRESENT!

Spend your time WISELY guys, make every second COUNT! :D

Hope you enjoyed.

Photography: When 12mega pixels aren't just enough anymore

Posted by Unknown on 03:29

Digital cameras had been quite the center of attraction around 3-4 years ago, in my part of the world. They're small and light, takes less space when you pack it. With pixels ranging up to 12 mega pixels and it was good. THEN.. But right now some people aren't just contented with the quality of the photos that they are taking, some people like me. And all so suddenly the age of Digital Single Lens Reflex cameras were born (awesome) or more commonly known as DSLR's or SLR's. These babies are far more superior to the Digital cameras, you can make a night scene look like its morning and the vice-versa you just need to adjust the ISO and aperture and you can get better shots by experimenting. Buying our first Camera the Canon 550D i tried experimenting on it, but can't seem to get it right until a friend of mine taught me the basics, and from then i started learning by myself, and now i got really hooked into it, and my parents are gracious enough to support me, so by the time i graduate and the start of my summer vacation (permanent summer vacation) i think i will be attending Photography lessons, along with my church mates who are also so passionate about photography, hmm. We are thinking about making a business out of it. Photo-shoots perhaps? That would be cool.

Anyway thanks for reading this, hope you enjoyed it.

LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!!

My shout outs to those seniors in photography, any helpful tips would be very much appreciated. :D

A MUST TRY: Google+

Posted by Unknown on 10:47

I've heard about this for quite some time now, and one of my friends recommended me to try it, but i told myself, i got Facebook so what good will this do? And then as i tried it a few days ago i really enjoyed it. I mean Facebook allows you to interact and contact people, post photos, have groups etc. But Google plus offers something more unique. The Communities!  I mean it’s like grouping the people who have the same hobbies and interest with each other, like Percy Jackson fans, Harry Potter fans, Twilight fans, Bloggers and so much more. You interact with other people other than your usual friends on Facebook or any other social network. In Google plus you can post videos, pictures, quotes, favorite line of your favorite movie on the communities you have joined, don't get me wrong, you can also do that on Facebook, but it's really something when you post it into a group of people who shares the same passion with you.  For example, i have developed this fondness of the series “Percy Jackson and the lightning thief & The Heroes of Olympus “i know i can post it in Facebook, but there is this feeling of belongingness when you share it with the people who feels the same way. Not to mention you might get a new friend because of this. So just try it. Google+ ..

Its really Cool!!

don't forget to add me in your circles.. ^_^

Arms wide open for 2013!

Posted by Unknown on 06:29

Ah! Finally, it’s a brand new year.  But it seems only yesterday that the Mayans have predicted the end of the world.  Literally that was just like weeks ago.  Anyway, here we are once more welcoming another year with open arms, it seems only yesterday (I know, I've used that line again) that we celebrated the year 2012, and now the whole world is moving forward and already making footprints in 2013, how time flies. A lot has happened in the past year, typhoons, tragedies, and the likes. Those moments will always exist in the corners of our minds whether we like it or not, but it doesn't mean that we can’t create new and happier ones right? Let’s all try to be optimistic that this year will be a prosperous one,  one example is that our country has strongly clawed its way back in terms of our economy, the Philippines has posted the second strongest annual economic growth in Asia. Now isn't that something? So, let’s all be hopeful that this year will be a blast! (Not literally of course) .. I just want to extend my heartfelt greetings to each and every one! Let’s all make wonderful memories this year Ladies’ and Gentlemen, Happy New Year!
